Diamonds

Diamonds
The word diamond comes from the ancient Greek word "ἀδάμας," which means indomitable, the one who cannot be bent, the one who cannot be conquered. It received this name because of its unsurpassed hardness and its strong nature.
The 4Cs of a Diamond
1Carats
It refers to the weight of the diamond but is also directly related to its size. Additionally, 1.00 carat is 1/5 of a gram (0.2 grams). As the carats, that is the size of the diamond, increase, so does its price.

2Color
The more colorless a diamond is, the better its quality is considered to be. The color of a diamond is classified based on the letters of the Latin alphabet: starting from the letter "D" (completely colorless and of exceptional quality), reaching up to the letter "Z" (yellow).

3Clarity
Clarity determines whether inclusions or blemishes appear in the stone. The clarity of a diamond is measured on a scale of 10 grades: starting from Internally Flawless (IF), in diamonds that are 100% clear where no slightest mark can be observed with a loupe, and ending at the grade Imperfect 3 (I3), in which there are several visible imperfections.

4Cut
The characteristic of a diamond's cut is directly related to its proportions, symmetry, and angles. It is measured on a scale from "Poor" to "Excellent". The cut of a diamond essentially concerns its shape and how light is reflected from its surface to the observer's eye.
